We need to expand the baby pool deck to accommodate more seating, and in the process, will move the Pavilion sidewalk to a more central location. We have decided to raise money for the pool by letting our supporters buy a brick for this new walkway.  Commemorate your family or the fun years you spent on the Stingrays Swim Team with a personalized brick that will forever be a part of the recreation center!

Our community is located in an outlying area south of the City of

Charleston, South Carolina and consists of three adjacent subdivisions:

 Shaftsbury, Melrose, and Longbranch. 

The Sha-Mel-Lon Recreation Center is located in the Melrose subdivision and welcomes members from the surrounding area. These established neighborhoods feature a strong community with growing families. 
The Center is anchored by a junior Olympic pool that was the vision of the

Garden Club in 1972. 

Today Sha-Mel-Lon finds new energy, mixing with a strong community to keep the fun going for years to come.
