"TO DO" LIST FOR 2026:
- patch more areas of the deck
- fresh coat of paint on the pump house and pavilion
- expand kiddie pool deck
- install sun shade over kiddie pool
- replace doors on pump house
- put away money for deck-resurfacing project
COMPLETED IN 2024:
- replace pool lights COMPLETED!
- upgrade security system COMPLETED!
- upgrade bathrooms/showers IN PROGRESS!
- put in separate water meter to save on water bill COMPLETED!
PROJECTS
ShaMelLon is a labor of love. We want this recreation center to be fun for our children and their children. It's very much about community here. This facility is run by a board of volunteers, and we could always use your help!
COMPLETED IN 2025:
- patch areas of the deck and repaint all COMPLETE
- fresh coat of paint on the pump house and pavilion
- fix leak in pool COMPLETE
- add drainage along pumphouse side of deck COMPLETE
- repair all screens
THERE IS SO MUCH TO BE DONE
For the last 3 years, we have cleaned, prepped, and painted both the junior olympic pool and the baby pool. We now purchasing higher-grade paint in hopes that this will not continue to need to be a yearly routine!
